Roaring Meg
Merlot 2003
The fruit for this wine was hand harvested from low cropping vines in Bannockburn, Central Otago. The wine was hand tended through the winery with 18 months spent in French oak barrels. This wine exhibits good concentration of Cassis, and Blackberry fruits with some minty notes these complex nicely with mocha coffee aroma’s from considerate barrel usage. The palate develops from good fruit concentration through to a fleshy mid palate with lovely elegant tannins showcasing a strong finish.
Cellaring Potential
Good drinking now but excellent cellaring potential for 2 – 5 years.
