Last year we were overwhelmed by the response to our Cherry Merry Christmas promotion. We gave away 2kg of big fat Central Otago cherries with every case of Mt Difficulty wines sold to our mailing list in the lead up to Christmas.
Robyn said..."Have been meaning to email to say what an amazing cherry offer Mt Difficulty provided. We are avid fans of Mt Difficulty wines and try to do a Central Otago annual wine trip, with your cellar on the must include visit, but those cherries were incredible. I have never seen any so big, or so tasty. I have kept the label of orchard as I will now look to place a Christmas order regularly - a win win all round. Congratulations on great deal for everyone.”
You told us you loved them, so we’ve decided to make the Cherry giveaway an annual pre-Christmas promotion.
For every case (12) of Mt Difficulty Estate or Single Vineyard wine ordered by December 15th we will send 2kg of premium export quality Central Otago cherries to an address within NZ. This offer is available exclusively to our mailing list customers and includes both full and mixed cases, plus the Cherry Christmas Mixed Case.
Please note – the offer excludes our Roaring Meg wines.
Not a mailing list member? We would hate you to miss out so it’s not too late – Join Mt Difficulty Mailing List
The wine orders will be dispatched as soon as they are recieved, while cherries will be sent for delivery on the customer’s choice of Tuesday 21st December OR Tuesday 11th January 2010. We are happy to send the cherries to a third party if customers wish to gift them to friends or family.
To ensure that the cherries reach their destination in the best possible condition, we ask the following:
- Your delivery address for the cherries should be a daytime address where someone will be able to receive and refrigerate the cherries on arrival. A work address is ideal.
- The extra days required for rural delivery may spoil the cherries - please provide an alternate delivery address.
- If your cherries are being sent as a gift, please let the recipient know to expect them.
- You’ll need to provide details of a cool, shaded place where they can be left if no-one is home on the day they are delivered.
Customers will be emailed or phoned after they have placed their order to confirm cherry delivery details.
The cherries we are sending are export quality cherries grown by The Big Fat Cherry Company in Ripponvale near Cromwell. Their cherries are all newer varieties - Roseanne, Celest, Stella, Lapin and Sweetheart. The variety of cherry sent will depend both on the timing of the orders and the weather conditions of the season. Our preference (as seasoned cherry addicts) is for January cherries but the Christmas ones are also fantastic!
