New additions for Cellar Door quail family

The second weekend in November brought excitement to Mt Difficulty Wines, when about eight baby quail chicks joined their Mum and Dad in the tussock and gardens around the Cellar Door and Restaurant. Quail chicks are very cute and tiny, no bigger than your thumb. Winemaker Matt Dicey had to rescue the chicks on their first day out, when most fell through a shallow drainage grate in our carpark. Daddy quail was enlisted to keep an eye on the babies for the rest of the day, and he watched over them carefully
