Mt Difficulty Mansons Farm Chardonnay 2001
Complexity is the keyword with the aromatics in this wine – nutty mealy overtones vie with a toasty complexity to overpower the subtle stone fruit base. The palate starts with ripe fruit characteristics moving into a mid palate with excellent texture and weight from extended lees contact and barrel ageing. A good nutty phenolic finish balances the wines natural acidity.
Ideal drinking now, good cellaring potential to 2007.
