Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2001
This wine exhibits good representation of ripe Central Otago Pinot Noir fruit characteristics. The black cherry and blackberry flavours combine nicely with complex coffee spice aromas stemming from considerate barrel usage. The palate develops from an initial lush fruit base, through to a fleshy mid palate with elegant tannins, ending with a strong fruit driven finish.
Good drinking now with excellent cellaring potential for 2 – 8 years.
