Mt Difficulty Sauvignon Blanc 2009

4_Stars.JPG

Grown at Bannockburn, the 2009 vintage was hand-picked, tank-fermented and matured for four months on its yeast lees, with weekly stirring. Weighty and fully dry, but not austere, it has crisp, ripe, tropical fruit flavours to the fore and a touch of lees-aged complexity. Showing excellent body, vigour and richness, it’s one of the best Central Otago Sauvignon Blancs I’ve tasted.
