Roaring Meg Pinot Noir wins Best in Class
At the 2009 International Wine and Spirit Competition held in Surrey the Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir 2008 was awarded a Silver – Best in Class.
The IWSC medals and trophies are the most prestigious honours awarded in the trade, representing the best of the best in the world of wine and spirits. Entries are judged in award categories divided by variety, region and vintage. The Roaring Meg Pinot Noir 2008 achieved the highest mark in the Silver range, and because no Golds were awarded, was named
SILVER - BEST IN CLASS
The judges said of the 2008 Roaring Meg Pinot Noir:
“Medium ruby garnet colour. The nose offers sweet cherry fruit with earthy hints. Juicy ripe and clean in the mouth, very easy and approachable, soft tannins and a long persistent finish. Drinking well in the short term.”
